“I really appreciate and like getting dressed up in a suit with a beautiful watch, the whole thing. I really enjoy that,” he shared. The only caveat though? It can wear on him if he has one event after another: “I love that process … but not all the time. I’m glad I’m not doing it five days a week. When I do it, I love the way I feel,” he explains.

He Thinks Getting Dressed Up is Like Acting

Think back on the last time you suited up for a wedding, a black-tie event or even a promising first date. As you shower, shave and cull your hair, you become a more polished version of yourself.

You could even argue, if you’re Jackman, you take on a new persona. And while it’s technically still you under the glamour, well-fitting clothes can boost your confidence. Jackman described the experience much like stepping into a new role for a movie or show. Considering acting is his passion, it makes sense why getting dressed up is an enjoyable feeling for him: they come hand-in-hand.

His Ultimate Luxury Is…

Everyone has a different part of their wardrobe that they invest money in — and another where they let it slide. While some sports enthusiasts will spend a pretty penny on athletic shoes, others who appreciate high fashion don’t mind shelling out a few thousand for a simple cashmere cardigan.

For Jackman, the ultimate luxury is a hand-tailored suit and shoes. “I love the way it makes you feel,” he raved. These two essentials play to how he would describe his style: pretty relaxed. Comfortable. And most of all, he says, elegant.
