Sylvester Stallone Shares New Rambo: Last Blood Trailer

When it comes to action flicks, Sylvester Stallone is a living legend of the silver screen, joining larger-than-life personalities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal.

Now, in the new trailer for the upcoming final entry in the Rambo franchise, the 73-year-old action hero shows that he's still got what it takes to deliver a good time.

In the trailer shared by Stallone on Instagram, John Rambo returns one last time to close out the latest chapter. The new trailer leaves very little to the imagination in terms of what's to come when the film hits theaters on September 20. Almost immediately the audience is treated to flashbacks of the macho guy’s physique painted against the scenery of war, his hands gripping a massive mounted machine gun as a ghostly voice proclaims John Rambo to be an “expert with guns ... with knives.”

Finally, the same ghostly voice informs a well-aware audience that the soldier is also proficient at kicking ass with his bare hands. Just in case you haven't seen the last four movies.

Of course, there is a someone Rambo must rescue and this time it’s his niece who is snatched away (of course) from the Rambo ranch – presumably by a bunch of gang members or human traffickers.

Big mistake. After all, this is Rambo movie, right? That means we’ll need a quick and dirty revenge hook.

Rambo sharpens his trusty blade, prepares his signature traps, draws back the string on the biggest bow in the universe and pretty much gets ready for total war.

Sure, every Rambo fan on Earth is already amped to see this movie, but the trailer might convince new fans to return to the theater for an action-movie.

“I'm gonna tear you apart,” a bloodied, gritty-voiced Rambo promises his unfortunate prey. “This is what it feels like.”

If the trailer is anything to go by, the finale to the Rambo franchise might be solid box office gold.
