Ben Affleck Is Dating With App Raya and Raising Money for Charity
Ben Affleck is often considered to be one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, despite some of his baggage. Now, it looks like he’s available and on the market once more, using a dating app to find his next mate and raising money for a good cause at the same time.

According to Page Six, Affleck had been using Raya — a dating app which caters to private communities, meaning that it's ideal for celebrities — for the past few months, seemingly looking for love after a series of failed romances. It seems that Affleck might be striking out on his own, looking for a woman outside of the typical Hollywood bubble.
“He seems to want a real partner and is not looking to date a celebrity. He is private and is in a good space right now,” one source said to Page Six. “He has his kids and is focusing on work but is ready to be in love again.”
As soon as the news of his profile broke, Affleck reportedly revamped his Raya profile replacing the previous song on his profile with Bob Marley's “Guava Jelly” and apparently swapping out almost all of his photos for new ones.
Which then led to the actor taking to Instagram to admit that yes, he is dating, but that he’d like to use the news to bring attention to something else he is passionate about.

“HA, you got me. I’m dating,” Affleck said in the Instagram post. “But let’s be serious for a moment and talk about something that is actually important. I have been in recovery for over a year and part of that is helping out others. @themidnightmission is an incredible organization that helps those in need with housing, training, development and recovery. Affleck has been open about his rehab stint in 2018 and his ongoing struggle with alcoholism. In March, he discussed his battle with the “Today” show.
“It’s part of my life. It’s something that I deal with,” he said to host Hoda Kotb. “It doesn’t have to sort of subsume my whole identity and be everything, but it is something that you have to work at. I feel like I had a problem and I really want to address it, and I take some pride in that.”
