What do I mean by having flash? We're talking small details that GRAB attention. Jewelry is going to be a friend in this department.
Shoot for a bracelet, perhaps a ring to add a bit of pizzaz to the outfit. A pair of cufflinks on French cuffs could do the trick as well, or even an elegant pen you whip out to sign the restaurant receipt.

I'm not just saying this because I served in the Marines – I'm saying this because military heritage makes a difference in your look.
It's all about psychology. What do you think about when you think of a field jacket or a trench coat? Chest pockets and epaulets. These draw attention to your chest and shoulders. They build these regions up.
