Men's jewelry…

1. Men's Bracelets

Bracelets are among the most common components of jewelry – both in men and women. They have a long history and are found in remains from over four thousand years ago.

There are many different types of bracelets, depending on the materials and fabrics used. They can be made from precious stones or metals in different styles – chain links, beads, one-pieced metal bracelets or leather bracelets.

Oftentimes, bracelets are used to convey important messages.  Many are used to spread awareness of diseases. Though, these are mainly cheap silicone bracelets with a specific color for each message they'd like to send.

Women sometimes opt to wear bracelets on their ankles, but that's not so much the case with men. Stick to the wrists, gents.

2. Rocking The Ring

When it comes to men's jewelry, the timelessness of the ring cannot be understated. It's been used as a symbol of power as well as a sign of eternal love and devotion. Other times, it's been a simple style accessory.

Regardless of the reason, it's important for you to understand that rings have the power to convey a message better than most accessories. We're talking about graduation rings, wedding rings, signet rings, and many more.

The big issue here is simplicity – obviously, we don't want to have you go out with a ring on every single finger. It's tacky and excessive. Instead, use the opportunity to choose a ring that means a lot to you. Maybe in addition to your wedding ring, you'd like a ring bearing your family crest, or a ring commemorating your service to your country.

The point I'm trying to make here is that you shouldn't waste the power of a ring on something frivolous or cheap. Make it count!

The construction of a ring is actually not as simple as it seems. There are models that are round and simply-made without any engravings or special stones. They're comprised of a hoop and nothing else.

Others, on the other hand, consist of the shoulder, the bezel, and the mount. These are the ones that have a precious stone or engravings. Don't be afraid to experiment with rings and try out different models.

3. Necklaces

Another ancient piece that dates back over five thousand years and keeps going strong. There's a popular stigma nowadays that the necklace needs to be the centerpiece of the outfit – but that is simply wrong.

If you use a necklace as a subtle accessory rather than the focus, you can stay ahead of the competition. You should also be familiar with the different types of necklaces, so you can pick the right one for you.

You have a chokerthe prince necklacematinee, opera, and rope necklaces.

A lot of necklaces also have a religious meaning, so different groups can identify their members by looking at their neckwear.

This also dates back centuries, so you may want to be careful about picking a certain style of necklace without looking up the history of it and knowing the message it sends.

For a few more types of necklaces, you can check out the guide on wearing necklaces that I've created with a bit more detail.

4. Cufflinks

Although the youngest of the group, cufflinks played a huge in men's fashion ever since they showed up. Men quickly realized they could use cufflinks for their cuffs, but also as studs on the front of their shirt.

This is how a standard black tie dress shirt came to be – french cuffs and studs instead of buttons.

They come in a variety of shapes, colors, and materials. For the base, it's always metal, but precious stones can be added in on top, as well as cotton patterns or different metal shapes.

When it comes to the styles of cufflinks, we've got a double panelswivel backtoggle back, chain link cufflinks and fabric cufflinks.

Cufflinks made out of fabric will be the least formal in this case, but no matter what, a shirt with cufflinks will always be more formal than a regular shirt.

You can incorporate cufflinks into your daily wear at the office. With the collection of them, you can stand out from the crowd and be noticeable, yet not do anything extreme.

And if you want to learn more, here's a full beginner's guide on cufflinks where I go into more detail.

5. Tie Clips

A variation of a tie clip goes back to when men wore scarves in the form of a tie pin. It wasn't until the early 20th century that the modern tie was constructed as we know it and tie clips became a useful tool.

I don't have to tell you it can and will be a lifesaver when you're eating a soup! Tie clips come in various shapes and sizes – it's up to you to pick the right one for your personal style.

A tie clip is an effective way to draw eyes more toward your chest. It's also one of the most utilitarian accessories out there.

The thickness of your tie clip should depend on the width of your tie. You cannot wear a thick tie clip with a skinny tie, it will simply look bad.

As for where you should place the tie clip – between the second button and the fourth button is ideal. This also depends on your preference. I like mine a little higher just so people can notice it.

There's also the obvious factor: Tie clips are incredibly useful. If you start favoring them, chances are that you won't go without them again.
