These 5 Spring Hairstyle Trends Are So Easy To Copy

There's no downside to flipping through a spring hair trend report. Worst case scenario, you've spent 30 seconds clicking through a few photos and nothing sticks. But more realistically, you're stopped by one look — you might not even be able to put your finger on what catches your eye — and find yourself saying, "I love her hair!"

Luckily, the best part about the 2020 spring trends you'll find ahead, is that they're equal parts aspirational and relatable. As a whole, they're easy, like switching up your part, which means whichever image stops your scrolling, it's simple to run with the inspiration. Find a fresh hairstyle (or five) that speaks to you and your spring 2020 vibe, ahead.

Deep Side Part

An impactful style refresh can be as easy as changing your part. According to Garren, celebrity stylist and co-founder of R+Co, the deeper the side part, the chicer the result. "Deep parts give any haircut instant volume," he says. In short, this look delivers '70s-inspired fullness without the shag haircut.

'90s Updo

Another modern throwback, the '90s updo, is all about piling the hair up on top of the head — then pulling out two pieces at the hairline. Chicago-based hairstylist Alex Brown says she loves the look for its effortless feel. "It's like bubble bath hair," she says. "Pulling a few strands out to frame the face makes the whole look feel sexy and sophisticated without trying too hard."

Glass Shine

We've seen the glass-blonde color trend take off this season, so it's only fitting that the almost-lacquered finish would spill over into a style report. If you're looking to replicate this look, Hollywood colorist Cassondra Kaeding recommends an in-salon gloss, but a leave-in oil, like High Shine Serum by Devacurl, works great, too.

Modern Pigtails

One of the most surprising hair trends on the horizon for spring is a new take on pigtails. We saw the bubble pigtails take off at Milan Fashion Week, then a French-braided, Princess Leia-inspired iteration on Hilary Duff, which means pigtails will likely be huge at Coachella 2020.

The Single Barrette

Yes, her shiny highlights are on-trend for spring, but this styling trend is all about her crystal accessory peeking out amongst the curls. We first spotted the tiny, bedazzled barrette trend at the Oscars on Kerry Washington and Saoirse Ronan, but now we're slowly seeing it trickle into Instagram selfies, too.

Like what you see? How about some more R29 goodness, right here?
