My perfect definition of an everyday dress is one made of the softest cotton with a gentle fit that allows for easy movement so I can enjoy all the special moments each day brings. Constantly switching between working and being a mom means shifting from sitting at my computer, to playing with Clementine on her playmat, following her around on he floor as she becomes more mobile, or sharing a morning picnic eating strawberries out on the lawn. Even with the increased activity around the house through-out the day, I’m still choosing to wear dresses as I alway have. This shirtdress with it’s tiny floral print and button down detail is simple and comfortable to wear with flats, sneakers or sandals, or even barefoot, which is often the case lately. A day dress fits-in perfectly with the busyness of life at home and wearing one leaves me feeling more put together, which actually creates a sense of calm for me, even when our house feels a bit cluttered with all the things we love to use in our everyday life.
