If you have followed this blog for the past 8 years chances are you like to shop!

It was recently brought to my attention that we haven’t posted a lot of businesses, specifically Black-owned business, in the fashion space on this site. It’s something I’m ashamed and sorry for and take a vow to do more of starting right here, right now. It is definitely past the time for us all to be more mindful about where our money is being spent and what brands and business we are supporting.

I know this post is only scratching the surface but I wanted to start somewhere, anywhere. So, here are a few businesses in the fashion category specifically to kick things off. Each day this week I will be featuring different categories of Black-owned business on my IG stories and website so please check back for more.

Please be sure to leave a comment below sharing additional Black-owned fashion business for us to share in our next roundup!

Sincerely Tommy

I actually stumbled across this beautifully curated store several days ago. I love not only their fashion selects, but they also carry amazing lifestyle decor. This Brooklyn based lifestyle brand has a store and in-house coffee bar that I cannot wait to visit once I can travel again post-Covid.

House of Aama

Obsessing over this mother-daughter design duo that is 100% produced in Los Angeles. They design not only incredibly ornate and beautiful clothing, but also have more affordable cute totes and sweatshirts too!

Brother Vellies

I’ve been a fan of Brother Vellies and their amazing products for quite some time. They made high quality hand bags and shoes that you should definitely check out.

LemLem

I have been a fan of LemLem for many, many years and I honestly have to admit that I didn’t even know they were founded by a super talented Black woman named Liya Kebede.

Victor Glemaud

You guys know how much I love a clean and modern silhouette with neutral tones. Obsessing over this designer who was a finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund.
