Entering A New Decade

Today is my 30th birthday. More than anything, I am immensely grateful for life, for family and health. If this year has put anything in perspective for me, it’s that. There is no greater gift in this world than to be able to spend it with those I love.

In some ways, I feel as though becoming a mother has awakened me. It’s slowed me down and quieted me. It’s brought me a joy and has shown me a love that I’ve never felt before. It’s taught me a whole new meaning to life, one filled with selflessness. It’s brought out something inside of me that makes me feel more like myself than I’ve ever felt before.

I am excited to enter a new decade with this outlook and appreciation. I haven’t thought much about aging before, but after having Clementine, I can now see how quickly it all goes by. To see her grow from a tiny, reliant newborn to a buzzing, independent toddler in a single year, has been magical. Life is beautiful and amazing and every day, weeks and years I get to spend seeing her grow and learn, alongside my husband, will be the best of my life.
