"If it weren't for humidifiers, my nose would be bleeding all winter long. This is my favorite one (and I've tried a lot). You can set it to keep the room at a certain humidity level. It puts out warm or cool mist. You can add some essential oils. It doesn't get moldy quickly, and when it does it's easy to clean. It lasts forever. "I have used many, many yoga mats in my day, and this one is my favorite. It's heavy (so it doesn't slide around while I'm working out), it's cushioned (to protect my arms during up-downs), it's easy to clean, and while it's expensive, it's super-durable. The one I have is just solid black, with a discreet logo — chic, even if I'm just using it at home." — MZ

The North Face Women's Thermoball Active Jacket
"In the summer and fall, I tend to mix it up when it comes to my running gear — I’ll wear any old T-shirt or base layer. But the more the temperatures start to drop, the pickier I become. In fact, I’ll only wear running jackets from The North Face, as I’ve found they’re the warmest and the best bet in inclement conditions. I consistently toggle between two weather-proof picks from the brand, one of which I’ve had for six years. It’s so reliable and I’m so loyal to it that when the zipper started sticking last year, I went out of my way to find a tailor who could fix it. Then there's the Thermoball jacket, which is super insulated, with a "warmth equivalent to 600 fill goose down," according to the brand. "Although I've tried plenty of running shoes from a range of different brands over the years, I always come back to my Brooks. I wore them for my first half marathon in 2013, and last year my Ghost 12s got me through my second full marathon. The 13 is the newest generation of the classic Ghost, which offers tons of cushioning and support for distance runners (especially troubled ones like me who periodically have knee issues). I've been breaking mine in on quarantine runs, and I haven't been disappointed by their cloud-like support." — ML
