Our Kitchen Before/After

The kitchen reveal is finally here!

We are so thankful and humbled that our little kitchen renovation project is featured in Good Housekeeping. Be sure to head to their website to read a beautiful article about our home. We’ve been keeping the before/after transformation under wraps so that Good Housekeeping could give their amazing readers a “first look” at the space and I am so appreciative of their kind write up.

Why a kitchen reno?

At the beginning of 2020, like many of you, Grant and I find ourselves spending a lot more time in our kitchen. The kitchen of our home was one of the rooms we neglected to design with Martha Mulholland when we first moved into our home a few years ago. We literally live in the kitchen. Cooking morning, noon and night for our almost 2 year old daughter, June, as well as spending almost all of our time in the space pushed us to finally pull the trigger on a redesign.

We originally wanted to gut the entire space, removing the floors, tile and get new countertops. However, Martha (thankfully) encouraged us to “work with what we had” and truly guided us to use paint, new hardware and light fixtures to enhance the space.

I am so excited about the way the project turned out and even more excited to share before/after photos with you all. Please find credits to everything at the bottom of this post!

Special thank you to my friend Monica Wang for capturing these beautiful photos.
