My Everyday Winter Skincare Favorites

Skin changes, weather changes and my love for different products also changes.

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a round-up featuring my favorite skincare products. A reader recently reached out asking what I’ve been using lately so I thought I’d break it down for you. I have made a full list below that’s sectioned off by the type of products in my vanity. Please note that I most likely have more than the average, but this is because of my blog. We get sent a lot of different skincare products to test out to review for you guys.

None of the items in this post are sponsored or were paid for posting. I put an asterisk* next to my all time favorites in each section.

Cleanser

* Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser – Grant and I have both been using this cleanser for a couple of years and it’s hands down our favorite. We keep this one in the shower. It’s very gentle and gets a nice foam going when you apply it. This is a great, general cleanser for varying skin types.

Cl̩ de Peau РThis is a close second to my Clarins and works in a very similar manner. I am such a big fan of all things Cl̩ de Peau. Their products are made of wonderful quality and fairly priced for a luxury skincare line.

Mara Algae Cleansing Oil – This is an amazing cleanser if you don’t want to start with a wet face and have make-up to remove. I apply the oil directly on my skin and it immediately removes any make-up and residue. This skincare line is clean beauty, sustainable and algae-infused. It’s an amazing product!

Toner

* La Prairie Cellular Refining Lotion – This has been one of my all-time favorite products for several years. I don’t ever see me giving it up. I love the way it smells and I absolutely love the way it makes my skin feel after I use it. It feels like the perfect primer before I apply my other products. It also lasts a very long time so you are getting bang for your buck! I love applying this product using my Clé de Peau cotton pads.

Chanel Exfoliating Lotion – Another favorite toner that came very close to beating out my La Prairie favorite was when I was introduced to the Chanel lotion this past year.

Arcona Raspberry Pads – I was first introduced to Arcona about 10 years ago and it was all I used for nearly 3 years. Any time someone asks me for a skincare line that’s affordable and easy to use, I strongly suggest the Arcona Travel Kit.

Face Oil

*Vintners Daughter – This is another product that has been a favorite for many, many years. The distinct scent is not for everyone but I absolutely love it. I use it on my face and sometimes even my nails. It’s called a serum but I use it more as an oil.

Guerlain Youth Watery Oil – A very close second that I sometimes use alongside my Vintners is this youth watery oil that contains bee honey! This feels a little heavier than the Vintners so I like to layer it on extra dry days.

Chanel Huile de Jasmin – If you are going to pull the trigger on spending big bucks on a super luxe oil, I suggest Chanel. I don’t use this every day, but I love having it in my vanity for those days you feel like you need a little extra pampering. It smells like heaven and feels super swanky when applying it.

Moisturizer

*Pond’s Cold Cream – The only reason this is beating out my favorite, Augustinus Bader, is because I have used this product since High School and it’s my ride or die, budget friendly, when in doubt you can always count on Pond’s. Sometimes people are shocked when I suggest this product but it’s honestly one of my favorites. No fuss, no frill, no faking it. Just good, solid product.

* Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream – I’m going to go ahead and asterisk* this product too because it’s what I use every day and it’s my all time favorite luxe moisturizer.

La Mer Soft Cream – Another ride or die favorite product is the soft cream by La Mer. The regular moisturizer is a bit too thick and heavy, but this cream is the exact layer of moisture my face craves.

Other Favorites

Cl̩ de Peau Cotton Pads РI was given these luxe cotton pads as a free gift with purchase and I remember thinking how ridiculous it was to spend $25 on a box of luxurious cotton pads. Then, I used them and become officially obsessed. I am a super fan.

Arcona Travel Kit – This was my very first investment in good skincare and when I’m ever wanting to hit “reset” on my skin, I always go back to old Arcona faithful. This kit comes with a little card inside so you can easily follow the regime. I also suggest cutting up the soap bar into quarters and popping it in the fridge. Because it’s made from natural products, it will keep really well and you can use it in quarters. I love suggesting the travel kit as a nice trial run. Give yourself 2 weeks of following this kit and see if you notice a difference!
