Here's How to Dress Exactly Like James Bond This Summer

We tend to think of him wearing a tux, but remember that James Bond was born (figuratively, at least) in Jamaica. The man knows resort-wear, and nowhere was that on better display than in some of the early Bond movies. Just think of Sean Connery in Dr. No, rocking a terry-cloth polo and trim swim trunks. Or Roger Moore's jaunt to Rio—you know, before he blasted into outer space—in Moonraker. 007 was stylish as hell, even on vacation.

So it makes a lot of sense that Orlebar Brown, which gained notoriety for its impeccable swimwear before branching out into a whole range of refined casual gear, would draw inspiration from everyone's favorite secret agent. In July of 2018, the brand launched a small collection of limited-edition, Bond-themed swim trunks. And now, it's back with a much bigger offering.

The new collection, which launched this week, includes swimwear, of course. You can grab a pair of Orlebar Brown's signature Bulldog trunks with the art from Moonraker or Dr. No, alongside similarly bold versions for Thunderball, Live and Let Die, and You Only Live Twice. They're not exactly understated, but that's exactly the point. (Plus, they're just plain cool.)

But the really exciting thing, for guys who are less interested in broadcasting their Bond love and more interested in channeling the timeless style of the man himself, is the lineup of clothing that directly references some iconic Bond looks. That terry-cloth polo? You can get it for yourself. Or you could grab a safari jacket like the one Bond wore to Thailand in The Man With the Golden Gun. There's even a pleated dress shirt from On Her Majesty's Secret Service, if you're looking to have a Lazenby moment.

James Bond is a fictional character, sure. And while Daniel Craig is still out there filming Bond 25 (whatever it'll eventually be called) and injuring himself, the future of 007 is a little fuzzy at the moment. No matter. Because while Bond will always evolve and change, Bond's essential style—the kind you see in all those classic movies—is forever. Just like diamonds.
