EliteSingles Unveils the Top 25 Most Romantic U.S. Cities

Romance isn't dead; it's just hiding in one of these cities.

Online dating site EliteSingles conducted a survey of 150,000 Americans to uncover the United States' 25 most romantic locales. The findings are based on how strongly participants agreed with the statement: "I bring romance to my relationships."

So which American city is the most romantic? You (are definitely lying if you say you) guessed it: Boynton Beach, Florida! 

In fact, Florida took up seven spots in the top 25, including the very amorous-sounding cities of Sunrise and Kissimmee. Even Boca Raton landed quite high on the list because, after all, the 65+ age group deserves a little romance, too. 

The state with the next highest representation on the list is California with six romantic cities along the state's southern coastline. Not surprising in the least, 18 of the list's 25 cities land within an hour's drive from a warm, sandy beach. In fact, 11 of them are located within just 10 miles of the shore. There must be something about that sweet combo of sunshine and sea air that turns people into walking, talking heart-eyes emojis.

However, residents in these cities may not see eye-to-eye (or heart-to-heart?) when it comes to romance. EliteSingles's study discovered that America's most romantic men and most romantic women actually live in different cities – Boca Raton, FL and Fort Worth, TX, respectively. On average, however, the study found that men perceive themselves to be more romantic than women.

So what's a romantic fella to do if he doesn't live near any of these cities? Well, EliteSingles assures us that there's romance to be found all across the country.
