Golden Road Brewing Hosts Contest for NFL Chief Beer Officer Job

While some men and women might dream of becoming a fireman, a heavy equipment operator or a police officer, a lot of folks might also dream of a job involving as little legwork — and as much fun — as possible. A job like Golden Road Brewing’s Chief Beer Officer position.

Golden Road Brewing is currently looking for the right man or women to fill  the new role of CBO — Chief Beer Officer — whose duties include watching NFL football, cheering on the Los Angeles Rams and chugging beer. 

In what is sure to be a wildly competitive application process, men from all corners of the United States will show the world that they have what it takes to be the world's first CBO. The requested qualifications? According to the job call on LinkedIn, the ideal Whose House?! Chief Beer Officer will be at least 21 years of age, have extensive tailgating experience and be able to call out at least five varieties of beer on the fly. The position is open to both men and women. 

Oh, and they have to love the Rams and Golden Road brew, of course.

The chosen one will not only be the envy of red-blooded, sport-loving beer drinkers everywhere, but will also be called upon to promote the Whose House?! Blonde Ale while covering each and every Rams game on social media — right in the action, as it goes down on the gridiron. Not sure how this gig could get any better? Should you succeed in becoming the CBO, you'll also bring down a cool $150 in cash for each and every game on the season schedule.

If you want to toss your hat in the ring, it's pretty simple. Follow @GoldenRoadBrew and the @Rams on Instagram (making sure you profile is set to public) and share your best photo (or video) proving that no one can fulfill this role but you. If you tag @GoldenRoadBrew and @Rams in your post — and include the very necessary hashtags of #GoldenRoadCBO and #Contest — you're in. Crack a cold one, kick back and dream of what could possibly be.

Don't update your LinkedIN profile to CBO yet though, as it's expected there will be no shortage of thirsty candidates reaching for this golden gig. Brush up on your knowledge of the Los Angeles-based brewery's latest Blonde Ale (no better way to do this than by picking up a case and doing some taste testing) and keep an eye out on their social media feeds.

If you're lucky and end up being crowned CBO, try not to rub it in too much. Opportunities like this only come around once in a blue moon, and the idea of getting paid big bucks to watch professional football and be a beer ambassador is the wildest dream of nearly every man and woman on Earth.
