Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn Proposes to Hockey Player Fiance P.K. Subban on Christmas

Lindsey Vonn and her fiance P.K. Subban became engaged earlier this year, but this Christmas, Vonn felt compelled to gift her future husband some bling — and a proposal — of his own.

The 35-year-old Olympic alpine ski racer popped the question on the couple's two-year dating anniversary, returning the favor and re-upping her promise to wed her 30-year-old fiance, P.K. Subban. Predictably, the New Jersey Devils' defenseman said "yes," and the couple shared the happy, progressive news in a festive snap on Vonn's Instagram — alongside their trio of canine kids, of course.

"We talk about equality but actions speak louder than words," Vonn said, in part, in the caption on her Instagram post. "Men should get engagement rings too and this is what PK deserves."

At the time of their original engagement back in August, Vonn told Vogue that she knew pretty quickly that Subban was the one for her. Previously married to Thomas Vonn from 2007 to 2013, she had been hesitant to consider marriage again. But after a few months of dating Subban, Vonn was more than sure about the Canadian NHL star — and the feeling was mutual.

"There are people in life that deserve to be with good people. They have that person who takes care of them and makes them smile," Subban shared in the same Vogue interview. "And she deserves to be with someone who loves her more than anything else in the world, and I do."

Congrats to the happy couple on a proposal so nice, they just had to do it twice.
