I wanted to share that this trip cost less than a Walt Disney weekend or cruise. You can do this. I spent $900 dollars on a last minute ticket, $250/night for my room (which includes 2 meals – you could also stay at a boarding house or hostel or monastery for much cheaper!), and $100 dollars on the group tour. I spent about $250 dollars to get from the airport to Galilee and the same to get back, and paid for cabs to get me to and from the group tour. If you’re savvy, you can save even more and use the train and bus systems to get around. I only share these figures so you know that you can come if you feel called.
