I cannot believe I’m saying this, but fall is just around the corner.
This year has been insane and I don’t know about you, but I could not be more ready for a change of season. Since we’ve been cooped up more this year than most, I’m looking forward to lighting the fireplace, busting out some s’mores and getting all sorts of cuddled up.
While our fall my feel a bit different, there are still a few key pieces that I think everyone needs to invest in for the upcoming season.
Chelsea Boots
Apparently I’ve been living under a rock. Is it just me or do you guys know about Blundstone boots? The brand was established in 1870 in Tasmania and have an iconic, rugged look that I’m obsessed with. I discovered them randomly on Pinterest and have immediately added them to my Amazon cart.
Quilted Vest
There’s nothing that screams fall more than a green quilted vest. I ordered this super affordable one a few weeks ago and it’s top notch in quality. A quilted vest is the quickest way to bring your wardrobe up to fall speed because you can easily layer it over a simple long sleeve t-shirt.
Super Cozy Sweater Dress
I couldn’t be happier to share that my all time favorite oversized sweater dress is back! It sold out so quickly last year so I strongly suggest snatching this up while you have a chance.
Rain Boots
Or are they snow boots? Either way I’m the biggest fan of Sorel and spotted this new style recently and had to have them!

I picked tennis back up after I gave birth to June and it’s been my favorite hobby ever since.
My goal is to play twice a week. After taking a few months off during quarantine, I’m so thankful to be back into the swing of things.
What hobbies are you into lately?

We are back at it again with none other than the quarantine staples.
When I’m not roaming around in my favorite athleisure, you will certainly find me in my matching sets. Even in the late summer months, I’ve been known to throw on a full sweatpants and hoodie situation.
Now this isn’t going to be matching flouncy floral skirts and tops {although those are feminine and adorable}. This is strictly sweat sets. These are everything right now. They’re the easiest and coolest street style {ahem – house style}. Here are a few of my favorites.
The Shorts Set
With the heat wave in LA, this is pretty much the only sweatsuit I’m sporting at the moment. I love this take on a traditional tracksuit. It can be dressed up with some sandals or cool sneakers, and alternatively worn around the house, even as pajamas. This super affordable option comes with a matching mask – very with-the-times and very cute.
The Oversized Set
I think this is my favorite type of matching set. It’s one of the most comfortable things in my closet and somehow also has a kind of cool girl vibe to it. Les Tien is a true blogger favorite. They even have an ombre option {still subtle and chic} if you’re feeling fun. And of course the Hanes men’s set {size down!} is the casual throwback we all need.
The Simple Set
And here we have the classic, tailored jogger set. You really can’t go wrong with this simple set in any color. So perfect for travel {road trips at the moment!} or lounging with the family at home. I also love this sporty shorts version that would be perfect with a basic white tank underneath.
The Sustainable Set
We are all trying to be more conscious consumers and here’s a new favorite. Have you heard of Entireworld yet? If you haven’t, prepare to see this brand everywhere. They have classic, tailored sets that sell out so fast – everyone is obsessed.
The Fun Set
Not a whole lot cooler than a vibrant hoodie and sweatpants combo. I live in neutrals and even I own a pink sweatsuit. This is a fun way to infuse color into an otherwise basic wardrobe.
The Cropped Set
This breezy option is another pick for the August heat. The cropped set is understated and effortlessly stylish. I think it would be so adorable and very weather-friendly paired with a pair of flip-flops.
What have you been ‘living in’ at the moment?

Let’s face it, as satisfying it is to put on a “real” outfit, we’re all spending a little {or a lot} more time in our comfy clothes.
Athleisure is a happy medium.
There are so many chic brands at the moment, that you can still look perfectly put together in your leggings. Whether you’re working out or working from home, here are 10 athleisure brands to put on your radar.
Vuori
If you've been following me recently, you've probably seen me living in my Vuori leggings. You know when you find the perfect legging and it's all you want to wear? Well this is mine of the moment.
Carbon38
Carbon38 is a one stop shop for all your chicest athleisure needs. They carry a plethora of popular brands, but also have their own label with the cutest pieces. I absolutely adore this tank that can so easily be dressed up or down.
Alala
Alala is making waves right now and for good reason. The designs combine simplicity and attention to detail to create really special pieces. This sports bra and elevated long sleeve are just two examples of how effortlessly chic their collection is.
YUNOGA
Looking for affordable, perfectly fitted leggings? YUNOGA is your answer. I would compare them to a Lululemon legging but at a friendlier price point.
Bandier
Bandier is another shopping destination for all the hottest brands. If you're ever in LA, they have the most amazing retail store with a fitness studio attached. In addition to their wide selection of designers, they do have their own brand collaborations as well. Love this cute ribbed bra from Bandier X Year of Ours.
NSF
NSF has 'cool girl' written all over it. While most of their clothes aren't necessarily athletic wear, their whole style is based on the sporty, laid back Southern California lifestyle. And they seriously know what's up when it comes to sweatpants.
Tory Sport
My love for Tory Burch is no secret, but did you know the brand carries the most amazing collection of athletic wear? Enter Tory Sport. The tennis outfits are everything and the hoodies might be the most luxurious sweatshirt of all time.
IVL Collective
IVL successfully mixes everyday basics with edgier pieces like this elevated jacket. While they're currently out of stock, their Race Pace Shorts are where it's at.
Beyond Yoga
I cannot stop wearing this cropped tank and each and every time, so many people ask where it's from. I actually just featured it in my favorite closet pieces under $100. Beyond Yoga knows a thing or two about really great fitting, great quality staples.
Outdoor Voices
Last but certainly not least, we have Outdoor Voices. A cult classic, people swear by their leggings. Also if you're a fan of sets, they have crop tops that pair perfectly with their bottoms.

10 Things In My Closet Under $100 That I Am Obsessed With
August 17, 2020DMT BeautyIt’s always surprising to me that the items in my closet that get the most wear aren’t always the pieces I promote the most.
I think it’s because I put too much pressure on myself to take the perfect picture that I am not always feeling my best when I’m actually wearing these things. But, I wanted to share a few items that I simply cannot get enough of lately. These are my tried, tested and true favorites that fall under $100.
Spacedye Studio Cropped Tank
I feel like every time I wear this on my IG stories I get so many DMs and questions about who makes it. I live and breathe in this workout tank. It's hands down my favorite.

Picking back up on a popular series that we started on Instagram.
We’ve divided up your frequently asked questions in to sections. I started with Fashion questions and I’m now moving on to Family! Please feel free to ask more in the comments!
Do you think you and Grant will have another child? – Caryle
You know, I’m not really sure at this point. There are days where I cannot imagine a life without more baby June’s running around the yard and then there are days where we are very thankful and happy for our family of three. I really can’t answer that at the moment.
Did vital proteins work for post-partum hair loss? – Samantha M
These He Shou Wu vitamins worked for me but be sure to talk to your doctor before starting anything new.
Favorite toys? – Molly P
June is growing so quickly that it truly varies and changes monthly. If you check this page you can find my updates on family life where I include things that June is liking. I also update my Baby Favorites list on Amazon in real time.
Where is Grant from? – Shannon P
He is from Los Angeles, CA.
How did you know you wanted to marry Grant? – Jasmine H
I knew that Grant was the best person for me to spend my life with because he helps me to become the best version of myself in any situation or scenario. I honestly feel that if I had to select someone in the world to talk for me or on my behalf that Grant would be the best possible person. He is also just a better person than I am overall. His incredible patience is really great for my fiery spirit. He also makes me laugh every single day.
Have you brought your nanny back since Covid hit? – Becki G
Yes! We absolutely love our nanny and didn’t have her for the first few month’s of Covid. Her daughter has an auto-immune disorder so she is extremely safe and so are we. She is now back full-time.
Is Grant an employee of your business? – Bronwyn K
Yes! He has a few other things that he works on, but he’s now full time at Damsel Inc.
How’s motherhood going? – Madeleine D
It’s better than anything I could have ever imagined. While it’s the biggest challenge of my life at times, it’s also the greatest reward.
How do you memory keep for June? Journal? Baby book? – Mariana L
I continue to print photo books every 6 months using Artifact Uprising. I’ve also been documenting my time on the blog.
What kind of car seat does June have and do you like it? – Kara
We have the Clek Foonf and I absolutely love it. It’s narrow enough to fit three in a row in the back seat and sits high so that June can see out the window. It’s also flame retardant free: tailored in 100% Merino wool to help naturally regulate the child’s body temperature keeping them cool in the hot summer. It allows rear facing for longer (up to 40 lbs).
What shoes does grant like? – Mackey V
He really loves his Golden Goose sneakers we got in Italy last year. He also loves Common Projects.
What is your favorite thing about June right now? – Delaney V
She is learning to talk so when you ask her things she can respond. Communicating with her is melting my heart.
Why do you play Mexican music to June? It’s hilarious – Angelica L
Ha! I play all sorts of music around the house. From classical, jazz, country and rap to world, opera and oldies. I’m a daughter to a music teacher and strongly believe that music can heal, teach and inspire us.
How did you know you were ready to have kids? – Sofia K
I didn’t. But here’s a blog post on “How We Knew It Was Time for Baby”
How would you have named June if she had been a boy? – Nina R
Saving those names just in case we have another baby
Are your parents still married? Do they live in the same place? – Samantha K
I’ve been getting this question a lot and I think it’s because my mom moved to Los Angeles when we had June. My dad lives in Texas and my mom lives here so she can be close to the grandkids. It works for them.
Do you think you’ll get another bully? How are you doing? – Adrianna I
We aren’t going to be getting another dog for a while. It’s just so damn hard to say goodbye. We are also looking forward to traveling more (once Covid heals) and not having that type of responsibility. Maybe when June gets a bit older.
Best neighborhoods in LA for a family? – Becca M
I love Hancock Park, Larchmont, Brentwood, Manhattan Beach…
Will you get a Polly tattoo? -Lin D
Yes!
What resources/advice do you think new/experienced moms need? – Dr. Elizabeth H
To practice self compassion. It’s the hardest thing you can do for yourself but it will help you become a better parent. I also would suggest investing in a self care regime that’s just for you to do. Whether it’s yoga, pilates, therapy, church or anything that you can do that is solely for yourself, just do something to take time for yourself.
Thoughts on the Snoo sleeper? – Sarah J
It wasn’t for me but I hear amazing things about it. I was too worried about it becoming a sleep “crutch.”
Do you have anyone in your family who is hard to deal with? – @lovelookswitheyes
Naw. My family is perfect All jokes aside, yes…. When I’m confronted by a person or situation that is hard to deal with, I imagine and bubble or shield around me and whatever it is that’s bothersome I picture it bouncing back off of me and on to them.

They are from Amazon, linking here.
What are your biggest stresses as a mom? – Sheena

In addition to the newest accessory many of us are wearing lately {masks} there’s an extra item that we’re all carting around in our handbags that deserves some much needed attention: hand sanitizer!
Don’t get me wrong, we have Purel stashed all over the house, but when it comes to a socially distanced gathering or meeting, I have been paying extra close attention to hand sanitizers that make keeping clean feel a little luxe.
It’s the little things, am I right?
Santa Maria Novella Gel & Spray
I love love love this sanitizing duo from Santa Maria Novella. Their scents have always been some of my favorites, so it was no surprise that the Cleansing Spray and Hand Gel are my newest bag staples.
Byredo Rinse Free Hand Wash
Byredo can do no wrong. This Rinse Free Hand Wash is everything I love about Byredo- the scents are unreal, your hands feel moisturized and clean, and you get to carry a little bit of luxe around all day.
Touchland
These Touchland sanitizers are fantastic. There’s a bunch of different scents to choose from and they all leave your hands feeling fresh and clean. Not to mention they’re affordable and can fit into any purse you’re carrying.
Susanne Kaufmann Hand Purif-I Spray
I’m a huge fan of pretty much everything from Susanne Kaufmann and I never take a bath without the Bath Oil– so I have no doubts that the Hand Purif-I Spray is amazing.
What’s your sanitizer of choice?
